Partnership vitagroup and NursIT: concentrated expertise for the digitalization of nursing and care processes

BERLIN, 11. March 2021 - More than a partnership - vitagroup's participation in NursIT.

NursIT Institute GmbH develops the concept of Nursing 4.0 and innovative products and services based on it, which enable nurses in their demanding, multi-layered activities to use digitalization to create a framework within which nursing documentation can move into new dimensions in terms of time savings, quality and legal security. These include a process management method (ProNurse) specially developed for nursing professionals, the expert nursing software "CareIT Pro" and special training courses in the field of nursing informatics. Through the new strategic partnership with vitagroup, both companies are pooling their expertise for digitization in inpatient care. With this cooperation, the two companies offer hospitals and care facilities their concentrated expertise for the digitization of care and supply processes - among other things within the framework of the Hospital Future Act. In addition, vitagroup acquires a stake in NursIT. The venture capital investor IBB Ventures from Berlin also participated in the financing and further expanded its existing investment in NursIT.

"NursIT offers a flexible and innovative digital solution for supporting inpatient care that is based entirely on open standards. This is exactly in line with our strategy to build an ecosystem with open and interoperable data models," says Dr. Nils Hellrung, General Manager of vitagroup. With its years of expertise in digital nursing and treatment documentation and FHIR technology, NursIT perfectly complements vitagroup's portfolio of innovative healthcare solutions for the Inpatient Care segment. "The know-how and innovative strength of NursIT Institute GmbH were convincing - that's why we decided not only to enter into a partnership, but also to acquire a stake in NursIT," says Dr. Hellrung.

Stoyan Halkaliev, founder and CEO of NursIT, explains: "We are very pleased about the new partnership with vitagroup, as it opens up excellent opportunities for joint future projects and products. In addition, we are pleased that IBB Ventures has invested again, thus repeatedly underlining the market relevance."

Heiko Mania, founder and CEO of NursIT, adds, "Digitalization in nursing, is currently receiving a great deal of attention due to the Hospital Future Act and the burdensome conditions in professional nursing. With our nursing expert software "careIT Pro", we offer exactly the automated, relieving nursing software that is urgently needed and demanded in nursing. Through the cooperation with vitagroup, we can on the one hand use joint synergies and on the other hand expand our strengths intersectorally and interprofessionally in the sense of a continuum of care.
